Neal Stephenson is by far my favourite author. His new book Anathem is a 900-page masterwork of imagination and skilled storytelling. The story is about a new planet called Arbre on which the intellectuals are living separated from the consumer society in order to focus on their studies. Then some crazy things are happening on this planet. The first 200 pages are a bit difficult to get through, the second 700 pages are simply incredibly perfect. |
